Supernatural – Season 5 – Episode 10
Notable Plot Moments:

Castiel is trailing Crowley and keeping the brothers updated. He can’t get in, so Jo pretends to be a woman whose car broke down. When the demons let her in, the Winchesters kill them. Crowley then shoots the two demons holding the brothers, telling them that he needs to talk to them privately. Apparently, Crowley wants Lucifer dead.
Bobby makes them all pose for a photo before they go hunt the devil.
When they get to Carthage, Missouri, Castiel sees that the town is filled with reapers. He goes to find out why their are so many and gets trapped by Lucifer, who tries to convince him they are on the same side.

Meg shows up with hellhounds and Dean gets caught by one. Jo stops to help him and gets scratched very badly on her abdomen. They get inside a building and call Bobby who tells them it sounds like Lucifer is trying to raise Death.

While the others are trying to figure out what to do, Jo tells them to be realistic. She’s going to die, and she might as well take the hellhounds with her. After setting up the explosives, Ellen says she’s staying too. Someone needs to open the door to let the hellhounds in and Jo can’t do it. Really, though, everyone knows she just wants to stay with Jo. After the brothers leave and Ellen opens the door, Jo dies before she has a chance to blow the place up, so Ellen does it.
Sam and Dean find Lucifer and while Sam distracts him, Dean shoots Lucifer in the head with the colt. Lucifer then just gets up. Apparently, there are five things that the colt can’t kill, and Lucifer is one of them.
Meanwhile, Castiel manages to knock Meg into the circle holding him, and throws her on the fire, breaking the circle and freeing him. He gets Sam and Dean out of there, and we see on the television that Death is doing some damage in Missouri.

The episode concludes with Bobby burning the photograph they had taken earlier.
